MOREWOOD BIKES USA ANNOUNCE PRO TEAM FOR 2006 NATIONAL MOUNTAIN BIKING SERIESASHEVILLE, NC, MARCH 7, 2006: Morewood Bikes USA has announced their pro-team riders for the 2006 Season who will be competing in the National Mountain Bike Series, the World Cup in Canada and other key US events. A total of 5 riders will be wearing the Morewood Factory Team colors this year and will be supported by the pit crew and team trailer. Posted April 2006

Jonty Neethling takes DH Championship for Morewood in 2005The finals of the SA-MTB DH Cup series and SA-MTB DH Champs took place at Fort Klapperkop in Pretoria this past weekend. I managed to win both the DH runs - so 2 wins on the day secured the DH Cup title in Elite Men and Overall for me. Beyond Bikes / No Brakes racing team choose morewood bikes for 2005In a decision announced late January 2005, Seth Dawson, manager and spokesman for the BEYOND BIKES - NO BRAKES Racing Team announced that they had selected a range of Morewood Bikes for their team members this year. The BEYOND BIKES - NO BRAKES Racing Team is made up of approximately 35 riders who compete at all levels in several disciplines, mostly gravity type sports such as downhill and 4 cross. Last year the team won five National Championships and over 250 podium wins. They ride in most national and western regional events across America and have been spotted as far north as Canada. US ChampsNear miss: Morewood just miss the US National Champs podium! Well done to Geritt Beytagh for his tremendous effort to conquer the US racing circuit in 2004 as he did the South African the years prior, his effort was not missed by any of us, especially his near encounter with the podium in the National Four-Cross event held in Mammoth Mtn where he placed fifth in the pro class!
