MOREWOOD BIKES USA ANNOUNCE PRO TEAM FOR 2006 NATIONAL MOUNTAIN BIKING SERIES

ASHEVILLE, NC, MARCH 7, 2006: Morewood Bikes USA has announced their pro-team riders for the 2006 Season who will be competing in the National Mountain Bike Series, the World Cup in Canada and other key US events. A total of 5 riders will be wearing the Morewood Factory Team colors this year and will be supported by the pit crew and team trailer.

Jonty Neethling takes DH Championship for Morewood in 2005

The finals of the SA-MTB DH Cup series and SA-MTB DH Champs took place at Fort Klapperkop in Pretoria this past weekend. I managed to win both the DH runs - so 2 wins on the day secured the DH Cup title in Elite Men and Overall for me. The second run of the day was also the result that counted for the SA Championship title.

Beyond Bikes / No Brakes racing team choose morewood bikes for 2005

In a decision announced late January 2005, Seth Dawson, manager and spokesman for the BEYOND BIKES - NO BRAKES Racing Team announced that they had selected a range of Morewood Bikes for their team members this year.  The BEYOND BIKES - NO BRAKES Racing Team is made up of approximately 35 riders who compete at all levels in several disciplines, mostly gravity type sports such as downhill and 4 cross. Last year the team won five National Championships and over 250 podium wins. They ride in most national and  western regional events across America and have been spotted as far north as Canada.

More wins: Morewood takes SA National Downhill Trophy once again for 2004! Well done to the entire team for all of their hard work, and a very well done to Gary Barnard for bringing it home once again!

Scottish Champs

More wins: Morewood and Ian McIntosh take the Scottish National Championships! Congrats to Ian for his victory in the Scottish National Championships in 2004, we all at Morewood thank you for your consistent effort throughout the 2004 season!

US Champs

Near miss: Morewood just miss the US National Champs podium! Well done to Geritt Beytagh for his tremendous effort to conquer the US racing circuit in 2004 as he did the South African the years prior, his effort was not missed by any of us, especially his near encounter with the podium in the National Four-Cross event held in Mammoth Mtn where he placed fifth in the pro class! Pure excellence! Can 2005 bring it closer?

Finite Testing

Morewood to use new technology in testing and prototyping:
With the addition to the input which team riders provide us on new frame designs, we are beginning to use telemetry and FEA -Finite Element Analysis- in order to further develop and test new designs. Check out the telemetry report from our first test in the Workshop section
